Main Studio
The main studio can accommodate all photography and studio requirements. The space is 1300 sqft encompassing a 20ft white corner curve, x4 10ft natural light windows, kitchen, lounge area, model changing area x3 creative sets that change throughout the year. The main room can host photography groups, family portrait photography, movie / music video filming and fashion catwalks.
Elevators
Our traditional 1930s building has 3 original cage door elevators. The main lift has a sky light at the top with it’s original see through cage wrapped around the stairs. The other 2 lifts are in complete darkness and ideal for silhouettes and controlled lighting areas. One is 15ft Tall and the other is wide with galvanised iron flooring. All 3 1930’s lifts provide a stunning, creative and industrial backdrop.
Staircases
Around the building there are several iron staircases with derelict windows and views onto the roof tops. Some of the windows are single glazed and fogged out so they act as natural light softboxes and tell a story of Birmingham’s industrial past. The staircases are ideal for shooting videos and creative photos with industrial settings.
Corridors
Our photography studio is situated in a building that was originally a manufacturing site for Telsen Radios. As a result the corridors are wider than normal and over 20ft high with Sky lights. We have had plenty of group shoots and videos filmed in the corridors, even ITV news have used this location.
Birmingham Photography Studio for Hire
Our Photography Studio is nicely located close to the centre of Birmingham just 2.5 miles from Birmingham New Street Train Station. Customers travelling from around the UK easily find us just off the A38, M6 Junction 8. The studio has been used by hobbyist photographers, commercial photographers and videographers for all kinds of weird and wonderful projects. Not to mention our regular group shoots / workshops, family photo shoots and portrait photography shoots. We treat the place like our second home and encourage every customer who uses the studio to relax, enjoy the shoot and have fun whilst getting SS Creative.
